Relocation with Care.
Continuation with Purpose.

Where to begin?

Treecovery is run by Dala and Tim, a husband-and-wife team with a shared belief that mature trees are worth protecting… not replacing.

Between them, they bring two complementary worlds together. Dala’s background is in large-scale events management, having worked across some of Victoria’s biggest music festivals. She brings structure, logistics, and calm problem-solving to every project.

Tim, meanwhile, has spent his life immersed in plants, landscapes, and reclaiming what others overlook. If something can be saved, reused, or given a second life, Tim will find a way.

That mindset naturally grew into Treecovery.

Long before tree relocation became a service, it was simply how they lived. From salvaging old Geelong pier sleepers and building them into their own home, to sharing those same pieces of heritage with clients across Victoria, Tim and Dala have always believed in working with what already exists. It’s a mix of waste-not thinking and a grounded respect for natural resource, valuing history, character, and longevity over convenience.

This philosophy extends directly to trees.

Their property is a living example of what Treecovery stands for. Mature trees are relocated and replanted more often than most people rearrange their living room furniture.

A rare cactus garden grows near the pizza oven. Giant birds of paradise form a dense jungle by the bathroom window. Fifty-year-old palms line the driveway, and a recently rescued sixty-year-old African Bottle Tree stands proudly, saved simply because neither Tim nor Dala could bear to see it mishandled in the wrong hands.

What many people don’t realise is that relocating a tree isn’t all that different from maintaining a long-term partnership.

You can’t treat every tree the same. You need to understand its condition, its environment, and what it needs to thrive on its own - with the right support, care, and attention from the roots up. When a tree is relocated properly, it establishes, adapts, and grows stronger over time. When it thrives, so do the spaces, and communities around it.

That belief sits at the heart of everything Treecovery does.

The Team

Treecovery is supported by a small, trusted crew including Geema, the [inset title], Emerald, Bruce, Forrest (Site Supervisor, 2IC and Ops Manager in training), and Blinky, the ever-watchful pup who keeps morale high on site.
Together, they approach every project with the same care they would give their own landscape: thoughtfully, responsibly, and with genuine respect for the living things in their hands.

Why Councils trusty Treecovery

Local councils trust Treecovery because we combine hands-on arboricultural expertise with clear communication, rigorous safety standards, and a deep understanding of public land responsibilities.

We work closely with council officers, planners, and contractors to deliver tree relocation outcomes that meet regulatory requirements while protecting valuable green assets. Our process includes thorough site assessments, methodical planning, and ongoing aftercare — ensuring relocated trees remain stable, healthy, and safe long after the project is complete.

By prioritising transparency, compliance, and long-term outcomes, Treecovery helps councils preserve biodiversity, protect public investment, and retain the character of local landscapes.

We are thrilled to share that the palm tree has been successfully removed and is on it's way to it's new home with Tim and the Team from Treecovery.

It has been a massive operation involving countless moving parts and has evolved by the hour of the course of the last week.

The team estimated the tree weighed around 12 tonne and is estimated to be around 130 years old. It took over 10 hours to extract, the root ball was twice the size of what was expected, and the entire operation was extremely challenging every step of the way, even for the experts!

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Treecovery, and our tireless Team at Colac Area Health who worked so hard to support our Palm Tree's successful recovery.
